Stun Gun General Info / Stun Guns 101:
Stun Guns & Batons require physical contact. Tasers
have a range of up to 15 feet.
The best places to strike someone is in the upper
shoulders, lower ribcage or upper hip.
Firing a Stun Gun -
- Make Sure Power Switch is ON.
- Push Trigger Switch. You will see and hear an
electrical discharge between the two metal probes. (Note - Excessive 'air
discharges', or 'air shots' for longer than one second can damage unit and void
warranty.) When in contact with an actual attacker, no spark
will be seen and no sound will be heard. The energy will be all
absorbed by the body.
- Do NOT touch probes while firing!
- Touch both probes against the assailant's body.
Shock affects generally work through up to ½ inch of clothing.
Effects -
- Firing for ½ second will startle assailants,
giving some pain, muscular contraction and shock.
- Firing for 1-2 seconds will cause muscle spasms
and a dazed mental state.
- Firing for 3-5 seconds will cause loss of
balance, muscle control, total mental confusion, and disorientation leaving
your attacker dazed.
- Under no conditions can you suffer a
charge-back to your own body so you can feel safe even if attacker is
holding you.
- Will not cause permanent damage.
After assailant's attack has been
neutralized, don't stick around! We highly recommend that you promptly get away and
seek help!
One last note... if you are even
remotely tempted to try it out on yourself there is a good chance you
will be unable to release the button with your muscles contracted! ...you
may just flop about helplessly until the battery charge is exhausted! If you do
this, ...after you regain consciousness, PLEASE send us a video of it! We love a
good laugh! =O)
