Crime Statistics - USA - 2006
Women who are assaulted or raped…families whose
homes are invaded... the damage
done to people this way goes far beyond just the loss of money,
property or
jewelry. Any violent act is bound to affect your whole life. And,
for
the most part, the police can only get involved after
the damage has
been done. You
and I are the real first line of defense.
Approximately thirteen million people (about 5% of the
U.S.
population, or 1 in 20) are victims of crime every year. Of these,
approximately
one and a
half
million are victims of violent crime.
At just under 300 million U.S. population in 2006,
according to the U.S. Department of Justice 9,983,568
property crimes ($17.6 billion in losses) and 1,417,745
violent crimes (Immeasurable
Losses!) were reported.
Act now to take
steps to avoid becoming just another number!
There were 92,455 reported
forcible rapes in
2006.
There were 860,853 aggravated
assaults in 2006.

Don't become just another
statistic...
You don't HAVE to be a victim!
