Our
professional line of B&W and Color Quads, an accessory to your surveillance system
necessary to split a video monitor into 4 screens. Video can be viewed split screen, (auto) sequentially or any individual channel full screen.
NOTE- The Black and White Quad DOES NOT come with a remote control.
Without a quad you
would only be able view one camera at a time. A quad is only needed
when you are using more than one camera and using a DVR, VCR or VISEC to
record or when you are only monitoring and not recording at all. Below
are two examples of how a quad works:

The quads that we carry are high
resolution real time quads that support up to 4 cameras. You
also have the ability to playback and zoom in on recorded video.
In order to split a screen into more than 4
screens you will have to get a multiplexer. However, recording anymore
than four cameras using a multiplexer causes the image quality to
deteriorate. Think of it like this, you're recording 8 cameras at once.
The VCR can only record the eight little squares as they are displayed
on the monitor. The VCR cannot record eight individual cameras. So if
you have to go back and view recorded video it will be impossible to
zoom in
for a clear view.
